EASTON, Pa. -

A man who was arrested at an AA meeting for having the keys to a stolen car got into even more trouble by headbutting a police officer, officials said.

Brian M. Mulrooney was taken into custody after he turned over the keys to a stolen Chevy Lumina stolen when approached by police at an AA meeting at a church in the 100 block of Northampton Street in Easton at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

Mulrooney then became uncooperative and pushed the officers in an attempt to escape, headbutting one of them in the process, officials said.

Mulrooney was arraigned on charges of receiving stolen property, aggravated assault and resisting arrest and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 28.
