Charges filed against Tyron Martin Jr in fatal crash on Route 22

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A Lehigh County man has been charged for his alleged role in a deadly accident on Route 22 last year.

Tyron Martin Jr. was charged with homicide by vehicle for the death of William H. Wilson III. He also faces aggravated assault by vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and related charges.

Wilson, 24, of Stewartsville, N.J., was killed when Martin's car rear-ended him in the construction zone near the Fullerton Avenue exit in Whitehall Township on Nov. 16, 2012, police said. Two other people were injured.

Martin's blood alcohol content was .22 at the time of the crash, police said.

A judge set bail for Martin, 28, of Whitehall Township, at $100,000.
