Christopher Perez pleads guilty to aggravated assault
Attempted homicide charges dropped in Allentown shooting
A man charged with attempted homicide in the shooting of another man has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
Christopher Perez, 27, was accused of shooting Angel Filomeno three times in June of last year in the 700 block of North Fourth Street in Allentown.
Police and an emergency response team were called to the scene.
Perez' trial was set to start Monday, but he pleaded to a charge of aggravated assault.
The other charges, including recklessly endangering another person and attempted homicide, were dropped.
There's no word on when he will be sentenced.
