BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

If your parents or friends ever say you eat like an elephant, it might not be such a bad thing, especially since they eat mostly fruits and vegetables.

Three elephants from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus enjoyed a delicious brunch of fresh produce from Lehigh Valley farmers Thursday at Stabler Arena on the Lehigh University campus in Bethlehem.

While the elephants chowed down, trainer Cathy Carden talked about training the elephants, and added that they each drink 100 gallons of water each day.

The Indian elephants are part of the circus and will be performing six shows over the next few days.

See the elephants and other performers during shows at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

And, for the record, the elephants cleaned their plates.
