Bushkill Township is closer to finishing the project for the Keller Road bridge, but the process is still in the works.
During Thursday night's meeting, Bushkill Township Supervisors stated the township received a bid for the bridge. Further details will not be released until the deal is officially passed.
The township is holding off awarding the bid as they are awaiting details from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). PennDOT is requesting current specifications and calculations from the township.
Bushkill Township Public Works department will be installing the bridge, a precast concrete structure. The supervisors anticipate the bridge to be completed by June of this year, if weather conditions corporate.
The decision to accept the bid was tabled until the next meeting which is scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. February 7 in the township building located at 1114 Bushkill Center Road, Nazareth.
