COPLAY, Pa. -

A library in Lehigh County is facing a funding crisis.

The annual allowance the Coplay Library gets from the Whitehall-Coplay School District has been eliminated from the current version of the district's budget, which must be finalized by June 30, said Natalie Reichl.

The library is asking voters to support a referendum on the May ballot that, if approved, would allow for a dedicated tax to keep the library open.

Regardless of the referendum, the library will continue to receive funding from the borough and the state.
