A famous spaghetti sauce in Allentown is getting a second hurrah.

Tuesday night, Cosmopolitan Restaurant was serving up the famous Sal's Spaghetti.
It's a new tradition at the restaurant to honor the building's original occupants: Sal's Spaghetti House.

The restaurant closed after Salvatore Poidomani retired in 1988 but his son George helped Cosmopolitan's chefs make sure the sauce was perfect for its second debut.

He says being back in the building brought back plenty of memories.

"I can walk in and tell exactly where everything else used to be, and seeing all of our customers again it just brings back memories. I just wish dad were around to enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying it and I'm sure the customers are enjoying it as well," said George Poidomani.

The Cosmopolitan is hosting Sal's Spaghetti night every Tuesday.
