WASHINGTON -

The Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday released a preliminary incident report on the emergency landing of a small plane in Lehigh County last week.

The FAA has found that the plane, which took off Friday night from Lehigh Valley International Airport in Hanover Township, was trying to return to the airport when it was forced to land in a cornfield on Willow Brook Road.

Two crew members were on board the plane at the time, but neither was injured in the emergency landing, officials said.

Investigators haven't determined what, if anything, was wrong with the plane.
