Fight cancer with food
BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

Certain foods can help fend off cancer or help patients recovering from cancer.

The Cancer Support Community of the greater Lehigh Valley holds monthly healthy cooking classes with a focus on using whole foods and healthy ingredients to sustain good nutrition during cancer treatment and throughout long term survival.

The Cancer Support Community opened in April 2004 and has been offering 60 programs per month.

Programs include support groups, stress reduction classes, and educational workshops.  They're aimed towards people living with cancer and their families.

The next Healthy Cooking Class is Wed., Mar. 21 at Northampton Community College's Fowler Southside Center.  It's from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Classes are free, but you must sign up by calling 610-861-7555.
