Three 18-year-old neighbors are getting a lesson from law enforcement authorities after breaking into a former elementary school with five juveniles, officials said.
Christopher R. Mastronardo, Patrick Eaton and Brendan Kaulius and the juveniles were found hiding on the roof of the former Lower Saucon Elementary School, 2200 Wassergass Road, Lower Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., at about 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Police were called when someone spotted flashlights being used inside the school, and when officers arrived, they found a screen had been removed from a window, which was standing open, officials said.
Police found the group by following footprints in puddles on the floor of the former school, officials added.
Mastronardo, of 4604 Concord Circle; Eaton, of 4627 Concord Circle, and Kaulius, of 4834 Concord Drive, all of Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co., were arraigned early Thursday morning on burglary and criminal trespass charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail each, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing for the men will be held at 9 a.m. April 3.
