A man was arrested for choking and biting his wife after their three children ran next door and had a neighbor call 911, officials said.
Jeffrey A. Breidinger was seen fighting with his wife over a cell phone in their bedroom by one of their children in a home in the 700 block of Broadhead Street in Easton at about 7:45 p.m. Monday, officials said.
The child ran next door with her brother and sister and asked the neighbor to call police, officials said.
The victim told police Breidinger was choking and biting her as he tried to take away her phone when she attempted to call for help, officials said.
Brieidinger broke the middle finger of his wife's right hand, and police found bite marks on the victim's upper right back and bruises on her forehead, officials added.
Breidinger, 33, was arraigned Tuesday night on assault and harassment charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. April 29.
