A man fought with police as they tried to serve him with a "no trespass" notice requested by his mother, officials said.
Kevin Vihn started scuffling with officers as he was leaving the home of his mother, Theresa Vihn, at 27 N. Broad St., Nazareth, Northampton Co., at about 3:05 p.m. last Friday, officials said.
Vihn walked away from officers, who wanted him to drop the three bags he was carrying and sign the "no trespass" warrant, and when the officers tried to detain Vihn, he began swinging his arms at them and had to be wrestled to the ground, officials said.
Ofc. Daniel Troxell and Ofc. Benjamin Rizzotto both fell to the ground during the altercation, with Rizzotto suffering minor injuries to his left hand and both knees, officials said.
Vihn, 26, of 33 S. Main St., Nazareth, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $25,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Dec. 12.
