ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

The lawsuit against Allentown's downtown hockey arena is now officially over.

On Friday, Pennsylvania's Commonwealth Court officially dismissed the lawsuit.

That case held-up the project for months.

Almost 20 of Allentown's suburbs sued because part of their income tax money was being used to pay for the arena.

After state lawmakers took that money out of the equation, opponents agreed to drop the suit.

Mayor Ed Pawlowski expects major construction to begin next month.
