ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Police in Lehigh County say that a fire that broke out early Thursday was intentionally set.

According to Salisbury Township Police, specially trained dogs were able to sniff out traces of an agent that accelerated the fire that burned through 1456 Lehigh Street Thursday morning.

Police do not know what type of substance was used, but samples have been taken to the state's police crime lab.

Fire crews responded to the house fire shortly before 2 a.m. No injuries were reported. Crews were able to get the flames under control in less than an hour.
