Man charged with 2008 rape, robbery of teens in center city Allentown
Allentown police have charged a 28-year old man with the August 2008 rape of a 16-year old-girl and the robbery of a 15-year old-boy in center city Allentown.
On Friday, Dec. 14, police charged Michael Arce, who is currently serving a sentence at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill, with raping and robbing a 16-year-old girl, and robbing a 15-year-old boy, as they were walking early in the morning at 4th and Allen Streets on Aug. 25, 2008.
Arce was charged with 1 count of rape, 1 count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and 2 counts of robbery, all felonies of the first degree. Arce was also charged with 1 count of sexual assault and 1 count of aggravated indecent assault, both felonies of the second degree. Arce was also charged with indecent assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree.
The defendant was arraigned through Central Booking this afternoon by Magisterial District Judge Michael D’Amore. Bail was set at $200,000 and a Preliminary Hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Dec. 21, in Central Court.
