The stabbing of a man and his daughter in Allentown prompted the brief lockdown of a nearby elementary school on Wednesday.
Police were called around 1 p.m. to 144 N. 12th St. Officers found the two victims suffering from stab wounds, said Asst. Chief Daniel Warg, Allentown Police Dept., adding that the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
A man was taken into custody, said police, who were unsure of his relationship to the victims. Police did describe the stabbings as a domestic incident.
The stabbings prompted officials to put nearby McGinley Elementary School on lockdown while police investigated the stabbing, said Kimberly Golden Benner, a spokeswoman for the school district, who noted that the lockdown was lifted around 2 p.m.
