Man facing charges for allegedly selling heroin in front of convenience store
A man is facing charges for selling heroin in front of a convenience store about two-and-a-half months ago, officials said.
Michael J. Hendershot sold three bags of heroin to another man on the sidewalk in front of the store in the 800 block of Market Street in Bangor, Northampton Co., at about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 30, officials said.
Officers found 90 bags of heroin, a multi-colored glass pipe with marijuana residue and $384 in cash on Hendershot when they searched him at police headquarters, officials said, adding that the other man admitted to paying Hendershot $30 for the three bags of the drug.
Hendershot, 24, of 710 Walnut St., Bangor, was arraigned Monday afternoon on drug charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 19.
