Marquis Harris runs back into burning house in Allentown
Police arrest him for cocaine possession, resisting arrest after struggle
A fire in Allentown Wednesday has led to the arrest of a man who ran back inside the burning building.
Police responded to help fire officials with a fire at 436 Chestnut Street around 6:20 p.m.
Crews told police that a man who had been in the house ran back inside as the second floor of the home was on fire.
Police said power lines had fallen on the home.
As the man, identified as 21-year-old Marquis Harris, reappeared in the doorway of the home, police tried to physically remove him.
Officers said as they struggled with Harris, he spit on them.
During a search, police found a white substance consistent with cocaine, in Harris' possession.
He was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, possession of cocaine and disorderly conduct. Harris had no current address.
He is at the Lehigh County Prison on $5,000 bail.
