Maryland fugitive nabbed in Northampton County
A 30-year-old Maryland fugitive was arrested Friday night in Hanover Township, Northampton County, said Colonial Regional Police.
Moises "Alejendro" Herrera-Zuniga was arrested shortly after 8:30 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Bath Pike for a suspended Pennsylvania registration.
During the stop, police identified the driver as Herrera-Zuniga, who has an active warrant out of South Annapolis, Maryland on charges of theft, motor vehicle unlawful taking, and rogue and vagabond, police said.
Herrera-Zuniga, a current Easton resident, was taken into custody without incident and arraigned on a fugitive from justice criminal complaint.
He was committed to Northampton County Prison on $30,000 straight bail pending extradition to Maryland.
