ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A man has admitted to a double shooting in Allentown that left a mother hurt and a son dead.

Uriah O'Carroll has pleaded guilty to third degree murder and attempted homicide.

Police say he waited outside the home of Marcus Eggleston and gunned him down in July of last year.

Police say he also shot Eggleston's mother in the head when she came out to help.

She survived.

Police say the whole thing stemmed from an argument.

O'Carroll will be sentenced next month.

He faces 40 to 80 years in prison.
