EASTON, Pa. -

A man was arrested in connection with an attempted stabbing on Christmas Eve, officials said.

Peterson Raisin threatened to stab Jeremy Luke with the knife he was holding in the 800 block of West Berwick Street in Easton at about 3:30 p.m. Monday, officials said.

Raisin was picked up a short time later about a block away, at his apartment at 519 Valley Street, Easton, officials said.

Court papers did not indicate why Raisin allegedly threatened Luke.

Raisin, 29, was arraigned on charges of aggravated and simple assault, making terroristic threats and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $30,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Jan. 3.
