If you don't mind getting your feet, wet, this may be the year for you to take the plunge!

The Lehigh Valley is getting ready for the 2nd annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.

The event kicked off at noon Friday with the "Super Plunge." A group of about a dozen fundraisers are taking the plunge every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours at the Eastonian Hotel in Easton.

The main event kicks off Saturday at Scott Park, located at Larry Holmes Drive and Third Street in Easton.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m.

There is still time to be a part of the "shiver in the river."

All you have to do is donate $50 to plunge, or you can donate $50 to be a part of the "Too chicken to plunge" category.

The event is free and there will be music and entertainment and food on site.

Around 200 people are expected to plunge into the Delaware River starting at noon.
