A woman stabbed a man in front of their child after they argued about sex, officials said.

Veronica Morales was arrested for stabbing Delon Serna with a kitchen knife while holding their 2-year-old daughter in Serna's apartment at 716 East 5th St., Bethlehem, at about 9:15 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

Morales called police to her mother's home at 311 Spring St., Bethlehem, and told them Serna assaulted her after she refused him sex and that the 2-year-old fell from her arms, officials said.

Serna told a different story -- that Morales started smashing up his apartment after he refused her sex and then stabbed him with a kitchen knife in the upper right shoulder, officials said, adding that Serna suffered "a pen-point size cut."

Serna also claimed that Morales took his wallet and keys after he fled the apartment, and police later found the items in Morales' purse, officials said.

Morales, 23, of 606 Hayes St., Bethlehem,  was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, theft and receiving stolen property and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $30,000 bail, according to court documents

A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Oct. 17.
