School van hit
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A woman was arrested Wednesday after running into an officer with her car and then crashing into a school van, police said.

Officers were called to the Family Dollar store on Allen Street in Allentown for a report of a retail theft, police said.

After one of the officers got out of his car, he was hit by a woman who was fleeing the scene, said police, who noted that the officer was not seriously injured.

The woman, police said, continued driving until she collided with a First Student school van at Ninth and Allen streets.

There were no students in the van at the time of the crash.
