Police: Illegal turn in Northampton Co. nabs man wanted in Bucks Co.
A man wanted on several warrants in Bucks County was arrested after police stopped him after he made an illegal turn in Northampton County, officials said.
Jason M. Ludwig was stopped after his silver Hyundai sedan was seen making an illegal left turn from Route 378 on to Mountain Drive North in Lower Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Ludwig gave three false names and dates of birth before police were able to discover his true identity, officials said.
Court papers show that previously, Ludwig has used the names Jason Michel Ludwick, Jason Michael Ludlow, Jason Michael Hill, and Michael Stevens.
Ludwig has several outstanding warrants against him from Bucks County, including one issued by Morrisville police on Dec. 3, 2012, in connection with a theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and another by Doylestown police on Oct. 10, 2012, in connection with receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy, officials said.
Ludwig, 30, of 489 Bauer Road, Bath, Northampton Co., was arraigned early Thursday morning on charges of giving false identification to police, driving with a suspended license and making an illegal turn and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $50,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. March 1.
