Discovery of meth lab leads to arrest in Northampton, police say
One man is in custody following a two-month long investigation into drug activity in Northampton County.
Police, along with officials from the Northampton County Drug Task Force and other agencies, served a warrant at a home at 2608 Main St. in Northampton shortly after 6 a.m. Monday. Task force officials said a resident, Jayson Remaley, was taken into custody.
Authorities said they found a methamphetamine lab inside the home and located three grams of meth, drug paraphernalia and materials used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Remaley was charged with operating a meth lab, possession with intent to deliver a controlled dangerous substance, manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance in a structure where children are present, and possession of drug paraphernalia, officials said.
Northampton County's Children, Youth and Families Division was notified because children were home at the time of the raid, police said.
