BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

One person has been hospitalized after police said he was injured during a drive-by shooting.

Bethlehem police said the 45-year-old man was sitting on a friend's porch in the Southside when he was shot.

The shooting occured just before 10 p.m. in the area of E 5th and Hayes Streets.

According to police, they were dispatched for a report of multiple gunshots in the area. When they arrived, that's when they found the man with a gunshot wound in his lower right leg.

Witnesses also told police they heard tires squeeling right after the shots were fired, but at this point there is no description of the suspects or their cars.

According to police, they believe the victim was an innocent bystander.

They also said they are not clear who was shooting at who.
