Police put bite on man who tried to eat marijuana evidence
A man found with marijuana in an apartment last month is in even more trouble with the law because he tried to eat some of the evidence, officials said.
Jeffrey R. Raymond was in an apartment at 120 North 15th St., Easton, at 7 a.m. Jan. 11, when police executed a search warrant and found him and Frederick Burd and Lindsey Whitney in the living room and a quantity of marijuana in the house, officials said.
Raymond was seen eating some marijuana from a plastic bag, and when he was questioned by police, he said his name was Tariek Badger, officials said.
Raymond, 18, of 600 Canal St., Easton, was arraigned early Friday morning on charges of tampering with evidence, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and falsely identifying himself to police and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $50,000, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. March 4.
