A home on Spring Garden Street in Easton was at the center of a police operation for much of the day Tuesday.
Police were called shortly before 11 a.m. for the report of men armed with guns sitting in a car outside a home in the 900 block.
Responding officers located a vehicle matching the caller's description and a woman from Queens, N.Y., inside.
They then found and detained four men who were attempting to flee a home on the block. The men, police said, claimed they came to Easton from New York City to visit a family member, but that the family member left right before police arrived.
Conflicting information from the detained men led officers to believe that a fifth man was still inside the home.
Police obtained a warrant to search the home, but the man hiding inside surrendered to police before they entered the home.
The incident remains under investigation, and police said charges may be filed.
