A man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for a probation violation was taken into custody after the Cadillac limo he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation, officials said.
Jeffrey J. Farnack was taken into custody after being pulled over following a left turn from Jandy Boulevard onto Broad Street in Lower Nazareth Twp., Northampton Co., at 2:55 a.m. Friday, officials said.
An officer stopped the limo because half of the vehicle was positioned in the left lane and half in the right lane before making the turn, officials said.
Farnack was found to be a fugitive from justice when police checked his license with a law enforcement database, officials said.
Court papers say the the U.S. Marshals Service warrant was out of Allentown, and that Farnack was on probation for selling methamphetamine.
Farnack, 50, of Bath, Northampton Co., is being held in the Northampton County Prison without bail while he awaits extradition, according to court documents.
