ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

The rain didn't put a damper on the celebration at a senior living community.

Ground was broken on a multi-million-dollar renovation and expansion project at Luther Crest in Allentown on Tuesday.

Over the next several months, crews will build a new country kitchen for the personal care center. They'll also construct a new nurse's station and refurbish resident rooms and common areas.

The project will cost $7.5 million.
