PLAINFIELD TWP., Pa. -

A Delaware County-based company is looking to set up shop in Northampton County, and not everyone's happy about it.

Airgas is proposing a storage, warehouse and distribution facility in Plainfield Township. The company wants to build on the former Nicos Polymer site, which was destroyed in a fire in 2011.

Some residents, however, are raising concerns about the flammable gases that will be stored at the facility.

A public hearing will be held on the matter at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Plainfield Township Fire Company on Sullivan Trail.
