EASTON, Pa. -

A man wanted in connection with a bike theft in Schuylkill County in May was taken into custody in Easton, officials said.

Richard S. Sidle Jr., 20, of 613 North Railroad St., Tamaqua, was committed without bail to the Northampton County Prison early Thursday morning, after being picked up on a fugitive warrant, officials said.

Court papers do not say when or where Sidle was picked up.

A warrant was issued for Sidle in Schuylkill County on Aug. 13 because he skipped out on a July 17 preliminary hearing on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and loitering and prowling at night, court papers show.

Sidle was arrested in connection with the theft of a bike in Tamaqua on May 14, officials said.
