Security tightened following stabbing of student near Dieruff High School in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Security at Dieruff High School in Allentown was beefed up Monday following the stabbing of a student.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times Friday afternoon. It happened just a few blocks away from the school. The boy is expected to recover, officials said.

Emil Encarnacion, 17, was arrested and charged over the weekend. Police are still searching for three more people.

Counselors were also on hand at the school Monday.
