A small plane crashed in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, just miles away from Lehigh Valley International Airport.
The pilot and co-pilot made it out safely.
The plane went down off of Willow Brook Road shortly after 6:30 Friday night. Emergency service crews found the wreckage in a corn field.
The pilot and co-pilot walked out to the road to meet people looking for them shortly after the crash.
Emergency crews from all over the Lehigh Valley all rushed to Hanover Township.
Susan Kittle, airport spokeswoman, said, "What we know at this time is that a small aircraft, a general aviation aircraft, went down short of one of our runways in the field."
"At this time it is still under investigation. As we receive further information we will be able to release it," Kittle said.
Emergency crews at the scene told 69 News that the Federal Aviation Administration has been called to investigate the crash site.
