BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A big construction project in downtown Bethlehem has almost reached the halfway mark.

If you've driven through the Christmas City lately, you've probably noticed the big hole in the middle of the historic district.

Crews are installing a laser-cut Bethlehem star at the intersection of Main and Walnut streets. They're also replacing a 100-year old water line in the area.

City officials said the project is still on track to wrap up in early November, and they said they'll tidy up the area in time for CelticFest, which is next weekend..
