WEB ONLY -- A suspicious car parked at a bank led police to discover the theft of copper wire from an abandoned home.

Colonial Regional Police said they arrested Biagio Colasante, 29, of Bethlehem on Friday.

According to police, they were called to the Lions Eye Bank on Hanoverville Road in Lower Nazareth Township, for a report of a suspicious car parked in the lot.

They found the car loaded with cut copper wiring, metal objects and a large amount of tools.

After police were finished looking through the car, they saw Colasante approach it, spot the police, then turn around.

Police stopped him, and he admitted to stealing the wire from an abandoned home on Hanoverville Road.

He has been charged with criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, and possessing instruments of a crime.
