BETHLEHEM, Pa -

Get your lederhosen out, it's time for Oktoberfest!

There are many celebrations around the region this weekend and next, including the second annual Oktoberfest at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem.

Curt Mosel, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for ArtsQuest, says the Levitt Pavilion has been transformed into the Spielplatz. "Spiel" is "play" in German. He says there are a lot of new things this year, including more games, rides, and entertainment.

Mosel says one of the highlights will be the debut of Kastner's Oktoberfest Players.

"We have some actors who are going to do some skits and engage the audience in games like German spelling contests, things like that. Then they'll go all over the campus and interact with folks, take photos, and really just bring the ambiance of Germany over here. We're really trying to combine the traditional Oktoberfest with that Pennsylvania flair," Mosel explained.

ArtsQuest's Oktoberfest kicks off Friday, October 5 and runs for two weekends.
