ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Allentown is shining the spotlight on a century's worth of "romping."

The city is observing its 100th "Romper Day" Monday night. It's meant to bring together all of the children who have taken part in the city's summer recreation programs.

They'll participate in a number of drills, dances and activities.

"Romper Day" gets underway at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown at 7 p.m. It's free, and there will be a special fireworks display to mark the 100th anniversary.
