Three people have been arrested in connection with an assault and robbery of four people that included $2,300 in cash being stolen from one of the victims, Allentown police said.
Police said it happened around 5 a.m. Sunday. Three men and a woman between the ages of 19 and 29 were walking in the area of 9th and Walnut streets when they were approached by three suspects demanding cash.
Police said the four victims were each assaulted and injured. The most serious injury happened to one of the men, who suffered a laceration to his face as $2,300 in cash was taken from him.
None of the injuries were life-threatening.
Police said three suspects have been arrested and are being charged in the case.
The suspects, all from Allentown, are: 21-year-old Frenny Pena, 22-year-old Joshua Rivera and 21-year-old Kayla Carnes.
Police said the three suspects were scheduled to have their preliminary arraignments Sunday.
