A 50-year-old Allentown woman stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a fork early Wednesday afternoon at a homeless camp in woods behind the Kmart on the city's South Side.
Kimberly Sipos, who resides in the 1900 block of Idaho Street in the city, has been charged with simple assault and harassment.
Allentown police responded to a report of a stabbing about 12:22 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of South 4th Street.
A man escorted police into the woods to the camp. They found Sipos, who had blood on her hands, and the victim near the train tracks.
The victim, who had a wound in his left bicep, initially told police he fell and cut his arm, but eventually admitted Sipos stabbed him with a fork, during an argument about an affair she had with another man in the camp.
The injured man was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital for medical treatment.
A witness in the camp told police he heard the victim yell while arguing with Sipos. The victim told the witness she had stabbed him.
After being charged, Sipos was sent to Lehigh County Prison, unable to post $5,000 bail.
