Two young men charged with robbing convenience stores in the Bethlehem area were sent to prison Tuesday.
Antonio Castaneda, 19, was sentenced to 5 to 10 years and Ariel DelaCruz was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 5 years, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's office.
No age was given for DelaCruz but police said he was 19 at the time of the robberies.
On March 12, Castenada and DelaCruz pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery. Castenada also pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy.
They were sentenced by Judge Robert Steinberg, who could have sent each of them to prison for 20 years.
The two robbed a 7-Eleven in Bethlehem and a Shell gas station in Hanover Township just hours apart on Sept. 4.
