Apartment residents evacuated during Allentown fire

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Residents living in an apartment building in Allentown had to be evacuated after a fire Tuesday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. at 432 Green St.

The fire was contained to one apartment, but there was smoke damage throughout the building, officials said.

The Red Cross assisted one family of six adults and three children and another with two adults and two children with lodging and food.

No injuries were reported.

Officials have not released a cause.
