Apparent road rage incident leads to charges against driver

.An apparent road rage incident ends up with one driver being cited for property damage.

Police said the two drivers became involved in an altercation while traveling on the Route 100 northbound ramp to Interstate 78 east in Upper Macungie Twp., Lehigh Co.

The incident happened around 5:10 a.m. Friday.

Jonathan Edwards, 55, of Allentown, allegedly swerved in front of a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Anthony Zabatta of Lincoln, Rhode Island. Edwards then stopped his vehicle on the ramp, police said.

Edwards approached Zabatta's vehicle, began yelling at him and allegedly damaged the antenna on Zabatta's car, according to police reports.

Charges of criminal mischief were filed against Edwards.
