Police are investigating another incident of violence in Bethlehem.
Gunshots rang out just before 1 a.m. in the area of Fourth and Pierce streets, near the Happy Tap Grill.
A man approached the victim, who had just left the bar, pulled out a handgun and shot the 24-year-old Lehigh County man, according to Bethlehem police Chief Mark DiLuzio.
The victim was hit by gunfire in his torso and ran away from the shooter to the area of Second Street and Founders Way, near Musikfest, where police found him.
DiLuzio said police took the victim to St. Luke's Hospital in nearby Fountain Hill, Lehigh County, for treatment. The man was listed in stable condition Thursday morning.
This latest apparent shooting comes after two other shooting incidents in Bethlehem over the last few days.
Two people were wounded Tuesday night in the area of Garrison and Masslich streets.
And last Friday, shots were fired a block away from Musikfest when police said teenagers were fighting.
Officials said the recent violence in the city doesn't mean that Musikfest isn't safe and they're doing everything they can to make sure the public is safe.
Anyone with information related to Thursday's shooting is asked to call Bethlehem police at 610-865-7187 or Detective Brad Jones at 610-865-7146.
