Police in Northampton County are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred around the lunch hour Friday.

The incidents are believed to be related.

The first holdup happened around 11:30 a.m. at Cihylik Farms & Greenhouse, 3960 Cherryville Road in Allen Township.

Around the same time, police said, someone robbed the National Penn Bank at 1826 Main St. in Northampton.

The robber passed a note to a teller demanding cash and then fled with an undetermined amount of money, police said.

The robber was described by police as a white man standing 5 feet, 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build, tattoos, eyeglasses and short hair.

At the time, police said he was wearing black shorts, possibly silk, with a white stripe and a dark-colored shirt with white lettering, a large portion of which stated "EVERYTHING."

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person involved.

Anyone with information about the bank robbery is asked to call Northampton Detective Glenn Deist at 610-317-0808.
