The Bethlehem Township Board of Commissioners approved three resolutions during Monday night’s meeting.
The first resolution granted conditional approval for the construction of a three-story, 49,100 square foot medical office building in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VI to Macada Properites, located in lot 25A at 3100 Emrick Boulevard, just south of the Outback Steakhouse, according to township Manager Howard Kutzler.
The new facility will feature 214 parking spaces and combine existing driveways with the construction of a new driveway, which could be utilized for medical supply deliveries. There will be no hospital use, beds or overnights stays, according to previous testimony before the township’s Planning Commission, which granted conditional preliminary approval to the project at their June 24th meeting.
The facility will be run by Coordinated Health.
In other business, the board approved an application by the township to the Commonwealth Financing Authority of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for a Watershed and Protection Grant for green storm water infrastructure retrofits along Monocacy Creek.
If successful, the grant would be for a $300,000, with a 15 percent match required from the township.
Commissioner Thomas Nolan was absent from Monday night’s meeting.
