Bethlehem Twp. oks construction of medical office building
The Bethlehem Township Board of Commissioners approved two resolutions during Monday night's meeting involving Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VI.
By a 4-0 vote commissioners gave conditional final approval for the construction of a three-story, 49,100 square foot medical office building located just on the east side of Emrick Boulevard and south of the Outback Steakhouse.
The new building will be staffed by Coordinated Health and will house both doctors' offices and physical therapy. It's expected to have about 42 examination rooms and 214 parking spots, according to the resolution before commissioners Monday night.
It's located in an office/business zone.
And by that same 4-0 vote board members granted conditional approval for the construction of a 43,200 square foot, one-story warehouse/office building located on the west side of Baglyos Circle.
In addition, the board approved the writing of a commitment letter from Lafayette Ambassador Bank for a refinancing of the township's existing outstanding debt, which totals about $13 million, and an existing line of credit for the township of $850,000. A final vote will be taken once the motion has been advertised.
Commissioner Michael Hudak was absent from Monday night's meeting.
