More drugs found on suspect during search

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

 A man arrested for selling a brick of heroin to a police source was found with crack cocaine and marijuana during a search at a police station in Northampton County, officials said.

Oris A. Barner was being searched Tuesday night at Plainfield Township police headquarters, 6292 Sullivan Trail, when 2.7 grams of crack cocaine and one gram of marijuana fell out from the bottom of his pants.

Barner was in custody because he allegedly sold a brick of heroin to a police source on Williams Street in Pen Argyl a short time before, around 6:55 p.m., officials said.

Barner, 28, of 323 South 4th St., Bangor, was arraigned on charges of drug possession; possession with intent to deliver; criminal use of a communication facility, and tampering with evidence, according to court documents. He was committed to the Northampton County Prison on $35,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 28.
