Officer saves men from burning home
A police officer rescued two men from a fire that destroyed a home in Catasauqua early Saturday morning.
The fire started around 3 a.m. near Second and Linden streets.
Police say the responding officer rescued two men, ages 27 and 21.
Police say there were no injuries.
The fire has been ruled accidental, caused by "carelessly discarded smoking materials."
Police say the fire caused residual damage to a neighboring home.
Crews needed just over an hour to bring the fire under control.
